A content calendar is a single schedule showing every planned piece of content, who owns it, what stage it is in, and when it goes live. Without one, publishing happens in bursts followed by long silent gaps.

The real value is visibility rather than the calendar itself. When every item carries an owner and a date, a coming gap becomes obvious weeks before it turns into a missed month.
